Artist Amy Turner created “Winged Victory/Kamala" based on The Winged Victory of Samothrace, which is a masterpiece of Greek sculpture from the Hellenistic era (dating from the beginning of the 2nd century BC). The sculpture is of the goddess Nike (which means victory). In Greek mythology, Nike personifies victory in any field including art, music, war, and athletics.
